Hearing Anew

This is an Easter story. It happens on that first Easter. And it is a story we typically tell on the 2 nd Sunday of Easter. As a result, many of us know this story. We may know it as well as the two disciples know the story of what had happened in Jerusalem over those days. Over the journey to Emmaus they hear someone else tell the story. And in hearing someone else tell the story, the story is transformed. When bread is broken, their eyes are opened. What happens to the stories we tell, and what happens in the stories we hear? How does it change things when we hear the stories we tell?
